It’s a pity that Man, a creature of God that deserves honour and glory, because though created in the very image and likeness of God in glory and honour (1COR.2:8), has lost all of these qualities just because he sinned through disobedience against his dear maker.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”ROM.3:23
All was because man’s arch-enemy is nobody than Satan, the first creature who sinned. This was at the beginning of creation (1JN.3:8), and ever since Satan has been thwarting man’s effort at succeeding.

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” 1PET.5:8

Just look at the text above and analyse some points here. Do not be confused about the phrase ‘YOUR ADVERSARY THE DEVIL’, since the word Adversary also means Enemy, and the Devil is the same as Satan, according to REV.12:9. Is that clear? I hope you understand that already. So this Satan, who is not ignorant of the riches and happiness in heaven, where he was before his banishment, has been chasing human beings since the first man was made, with the sole aim of destroying us. (JN.10:10)

"Therefore rejoice ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! For the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.”REV.12:12

This Devil or Satan fell because of his sin of pride and self-exaltation as is reported in the book of the prophet Isaiah thus:

(12)"How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lu’ci-fer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! (13) For thou hast said in thine heart, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: (14) I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the Most High.” ISAI.14:12-14

So knowing very well that if man should be humble and meek, man will enjoy the treasures that he, Satan, missed he attacked the first man, our original parents, immediately after they were created, for he had fallen due to pride and self-exaltation.
