THE 7TH DAY SABBATH IS THE TREE OF LIFE AND SUNDAY WORSHIP IS THE FORBIDDEN FRUIT

In Christendom today, there are a lot of controversies over which day is the Lord's Day (according to REV.1:10) or the day our Lord and Saviour must be worshipped for salvation. But it is hidden from many a salvation-seeker that the All-wise God at creation, gave man a particular day on which He should be worshipped as a memorial of His creation. As a result of this, God Himself plainly said in ISAIAH 58: 13 that the 7th day Sabbath is His own day; thus the phrases "MY HOLY DAY" and "THE HOLY DAY OF THE LORD" were used in that context.

"If thou turn away thy foot from the Sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable ; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:"ISAI.58: 13

Now as to why the 7th day became the day of God, could be seen from GEN.2:3 thus:

"Then God Blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.”
This text above shows that before God gave man the authority to worship Him on the 7th day of the week, He Himself rested on that day as an example to all mankind. This is why on Mount Sinai He commanded the Israelites thus: "Remember the Sabbath Day To Keep It Holy"; implying that man must remember the day on which He rested and kept it Holy as a day of worship. (EXOD.20:8)

Also God, emphasizing on that particular day He meant, explained further that, "six days you shall labour and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God."( EXOD.20:9,1 0) This makes it plain that God is really circumspect of the 7th day on which He should be worshipped. Since God is circumspect of a particular day of worship, and thus consecrated the 7th day of the week for His worship, it is worth noting that whoever worships Him (God) on that day has found the Tree of Life. As such, anything contrary to that effect is also in line with the eating of the forbidden fruit which leads to death.GEN.2: 17
This is because God did not intend man to eat the forbidden fruit just as He did not intend man to worship Him on any other day apart from the 7th day of the week. Also another reason why the 7th day Sabbath is referred to as the Tree of Life is that, it is part of God's Ten Commandments described in PROV.3: 1,2,18 as the tree of life.

(1) "My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: (2) For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee...................... (18) She is a TREE OF LIFE to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.

Note that the Sabbath law is the fourth part of the Decalogue in EXOD.20:2-17. Therefore, if the whole Moral Law or the Decalogue is referred to as the tree of life, what about the Sabbath? Really, it is also a tree of life or simply, part of the Life Tree.
It could be remembered that in the Garden of Eden, God planted both the Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of good and evil, in the midst of the Garden of Eden; yet Satan did not allow Adam and Eve to eat the tree of life in order to live forever (GEN.3:22), but he made them eat the forbidden fruit to inherit death.

(8)"And the Lord God planted a .garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. (9) And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil".GEN.2:8,9.

In that same way these two days (that is the 7th day and the 1st day) are part of the seven (7) days of the week and even close together, yet the one (that is the seventh day) which has eternal life and blessings has been stolen from man. That is Satan has deceived man to keep the day (that is the 1st day) which was not blessed and would lead man to death. This means Satan has appeared in Christendom today to deceive masses from keeping the 7th day Sabbath holy in order to lose its blessings, just as he deceived Adam and Eve to eat the forbidden fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. (2COR.ll :3)

(1) "Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of the tree of the• garden? (2) And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden. (3) But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. (4) And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: (5) For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. (6) And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat." GEN.3: 1-6

It is worthy of note that when the forbidden fruit was eaten, all other transgressions were enjoined. In this sinful world too, the climax of unwarranted transgressions is due to the inception of the observance of Sun's day as the Lord's Day. (REV.1: 1 0) This is because ever since the change of the 7th day Sabbath by Emperor Constantine in AD321, during the then Roman Empire, many transgressions and unbiblical doctrines such as Christmas, Lent, Easter, Infant Baptism, Saints' days (eg. Valentine's day), wrong observance of the Lord's supper, eating of unclean diet and many others have crept into Christianity unawares to defile many salvation-seekers.
This also proves why the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is symbolic of the Sunday observance in Christianity today. This is because every bad tree can not bear good fruit so as every good tree can not bear bad fruit.
"A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit."MATT.7: I 8.

Hence Sunday worship symbolized by the forbidden tree bears evil fruits of transgressions and all unbiblical doctrines. Also the 7th Day Sabbath is that good tree symbolized by the tree of life which bears good fruits worthy of blessings and life eternal(MATT. 7:17). Again, as it is said that God blessed the 7th day of the week, so shall anyone who keeps it holy be blessed. Hence the report in Isaiah's prophecy saying that whoever keeps the 7th day Sabbath holy from polluting it is blessed.

"Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man• that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the Sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil." ISAI. 56:2

But it is rather unfortunate that Sunday, the first (1st) day of the week is now being used as a substitute to the 7th day to worship God worldwide. Many people are not aware of the fact that the first day was not sanctified or set apart for God's worship, but rather the seventh day (ie. Saturday). They are also ignorant of the fact that whatever or whoever is blessed of God, is blessed forever, (1 CHRON.17:27), and as such the seventh day, blessed from the beginning of creation was blessed forever for God's worship and its attendant blessings.
. This is why the early apostles writing the book of Hebrews, treated salvation issues with much emphasis on the 7th Day Sabbath Rest by saying that, it was established or instituted at creation as a prelude to eternal rest (life). That is everything concerning man's happiness and salvation was finished from the foundation of this world.

"For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world."HEB.4:3

Hence the Psalmist's question: "IF THE FOUNDATION BE DESTROYED, WHAT CAN THE RIGHTEOUS DO?" PSALM 11:3
So the authors of the book of Hebrews knowing this very well, further argued that the Sabbath rest remained therefore for the people of God. Also it is stated in Hebrews that all those who want to keep the Sabbath must emulate the true example of how God kept His from the beginning, so that no mistake whatsoever would be committed.

(9)"There remaineth therefore a rest to thee people of God. (10) For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. ( 11) let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief" HEB.4:9-ll

This is due to the fact that a mistake is a transgression and therefore a snare which can endanger one's life to hell fire.
"In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare:” PROV.29:6

In concluding, I may say the 7th Day Sabbath really refreshes one from six (6) days of hard labour and so shall it refresh the saints from their tiredness in this suffering world (EXOD.23: 12) to inherit eternal rest in the Kingdom of God. This means the keeping of the 7th day Sabbath is without dispute a gate way to heaven. Even according to the prophet Isaiah, God has promised that anyone who keeps the Sabbath holy shall be taken to the holy mountain of God.

(6)" Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the Lord, to serve Him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the Sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; (7) Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be caned an house of prayer for all people." ISAl.56:6. 7

So it is worthy of note here that this holy mountain of God is nowhere but the new dwelling place for the righteous men and the saints in light (ISAI.65:17-25). Thus the Sabbath shall again be kept in the new heaven and the new earth forever by those who shall be justified (verse 22).

"For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain. (23) And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, shall all flesh come worship before me, said the LORD." lSA1. 66 :22- 23

Also those who transgress against God's commandments involving the 7th day Sabbath, shall continue to suffer afflictions in the next world to come just as those who have forsaken the weekly Sabbath rest, have no rest at all in their lives and thereby suffer Satan's afflictions unto death.

"And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die. neither shall their fire be quenched: and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh." ISA1.66:24

For when Adam and Eve forsook the tree of life and partook the forbidden fruit, they did not enjoy better life and were made subject to death (GEN.4:1-8; 5:5): So shall all men who follow Adam's transgression and partake the forbidden fruit symbolic of Sunday worship and Its subsequent transgressions be found wanting in the lake of fire. REV.21:8
So beloved, do the best you can to follow after the righteousness of the Tree Of Life symbolic of Sabbath rest and gain everlasting life so that you may have right to the heavenly Tree of Life which bears Twelve manner of Fruits. REV22:2
"In the way of righteousness is life: and in the pathway thereof there is no death. PROY.12:28

"Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the Kingdom of their father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear." MATT. 13:43
